- 12 golden-brown crackers
- 12 small slices pale ivory cheese
- 12 slices marbled beef salami
- 6 large hard-boiled eggs
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard

- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- 12 black olives
- Fresh chives, for garnish
