Chef notes
- Use very thin slices of salami and deli meat so they’re easy to shape into delicate petals. - Build the center rose gradually by starting with a tight roll and adding slices around it, slightly overlapping each one. - Keep each layer evenly spaced around the platter for a polished, professional floral presentation. - Pat the olives and lettuce dry before arranging them to prevent excess moisture from making the platter soggy. - Chill the platter for 15–20 minutes before serving so the meat, cheese, and decorations hold their shape beautifully.
